Graduated: 2018

Major: Biochemistry

Project(s):

Preferential Solubility of P3HT in Binary Solvent Blends

Functional Solubility Parameter Theory

Experience:

CHEM 481 (Fall 2016): Honors Immersed

CHEM 499 (2017-2018): Bachelor's Essay

Marni joined the group in August 2016. Marni's projects have focused on (1) the behavior of P3HT aggregation in binary solvent mixtures and (2) the extension of the functional solubility parameter approach developed in our lab. The research for her senior bachelor's essay (CHEM 499) investigates the assembly of P3HT at solvent interfaces.

In April 2017 Marni presented the results of academic year research at the CofC Celebration of Scholars poster session. In August 2017 Marni presented the results of his summer research at the CofC Convocation Day poster session. In November 2017 Marni presented a poster at the Southeast Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society (SERMACS) in Charlotte, NC and in March 2018 she presented her work at the National Meeting of the American Chemical Society in New Orleans, LA .

Marni is a co-author on three papers published in the peer-reviewed journals Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics and Journal of Polymer Science Part B: Polymer Physics.

Marni graduated in 2018, and currently she is attending the Physician Assistant Program at the University of South Florida.
