RESEARCH LABS

Our lab space is located on the third floor of the School of Sciences and Mathematics Building (SSMB). The labs are spread out over three rooms. The laser lab (SSMB 331) houses the atomic force microscope, confocal microscope, and assorted lasers and data acquisition electronics. The physical chemistry lab (SSMB 329), which is used to teach the CHEM341L and CHEM342L physical chemistry lab courses, houses the UV/VIS absorption spectrophotometer, DLS, as well as other instruments, and affords us ample benchtop and hood space. The wet lab (SSMN 328A) is used for synthesis and material and solution preparation.
